The Humane Society of Schuyler County has been dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in Schuyler County since 1987. As a not for profit our organization relies on the dedication of our members and volunteers who donate their time and money to keep our programs running. We need your help to continue our mission!

Lost and Found Dogs: The towns of Schuyler County have chosen to contract with an alternate provider for animal sheltering for 2025. Effective January 1, 2025, if you find a stray dog or your dog is missing, please contact the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department at 607-535-8222. To report suspected animal cruelty or neglect, please also contact the Schuyler County Sherriff’s Department. We will be happy to continue to post lost and found dogs on our Facebook page. Please send an email with information to [email protected] or call us at 607-210-2600 ext 201. It has been our honor to serve the lost and found of our community.
We’re hiring! The Humane Society is looking for someone to join our effort in the position of Animal Care Associate I. In this role, you will care for dogs in the shelter, feeding, cleaning kennels, exercising, and socializing. For more information, see the News Post associated with this opening.
