Free Wellness Clinic for Companion Animals of Military Members and First Responders
The Humane Society of Schuyler County is pleased to offer a free wellness clinic for dogs and cats belonging to military personnel, veterans, and first responders. The clinic will take place on Saturday, October 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Humane Society of Schuyler County, 124 Marina Drive, Montour Falls, NY.
During the clinic, eligible pet owners can receive a variety of essential preventive and wellness services for their animals at no cost, including vaccinations, microchipping, flea, tick, and heartworm testing, deworming, and basic skin and ear care.
This clinic is open to:
- Active military service members
- Veterans
- Law enforcement personnel, including local and state police and sheriff’s departments
- Firefighters, both volunteer and career
- Ambulance drivers employed by nonprofit or for-profit organizations
- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), whether volunteer or paid
There are no income or county residency requirements to participate. The clinic welcomes service animals, emotional support animals, and companion animals, with services available for both dogs and cats.

Walk-in appointments will also be accommodated as space and time permit.

This clinic is made possible through the Hero Companion Care Fund, established by the Gary Sinise Foundation.
