The Humane Society Shelter had long been a commercial enterprise used as a feed store, a garden center, and a woodstove supply shop. When we took possession, it had not been used in several years and was substantially overgrown with weeds and brush. With the help of a volunteer team, the inside was gutted and made ready for drains, insulation, a new roof and rooms for the kennels. Here are some pictures of what we started with.
